Turin's Death

I was fascinated by the tragic story of Hurin's children from the beginning and I planned a work for Turin's death. The symbol of Turin's broken sword Gurthang always impressed me, so I decided for this moment and not the one when he kills himself (which was content from my other sketch for this.) At least, I worked over....eh...4 month on it?! I didn't paint all this time on it, but the process of choosing colours was very difficult...Should it be autumn? Spring? Thanks here to a friend who helped me finding the colours. (Taking a photo doesn't make it easier...the colours you see on the screen look again a bit different, which is really annoying..it is so difficult editing a photo so that it might look like the original, as you probably know...It is a bit warmer in original, I guess) But now, here it is! (first pic I laid a mature content filter on)

The blood at the river's bank is symbolic for Nienor's and all the other harm.
